FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Art Teacher & Mom Brings Story of Tolerance to Life for Little Ones

New York -- October 5, 2018 - Author Christina Leigh Daly shares the story of a unique little piggy who proves being different can be wonderful in her debut picture book, Henry the Green Zebra-Pig.

Henry is no ordinary pig ... He is a green zebra-pig!

Tackling the subject of being a very unusual newcomer, Daly inspires little ones to take heart and be proud of what makes them special.

Henry is excited about moving to Farmer Kate's barnyard and meeting all the animals, but when he receives less than a warm welcome it seems he may not end up with any new friends. With the help of Melinda Mouse and Farmer Kate Henry shows off his green stripes, and all the animals learn that everyone can be special in his or her own way.

"The moral of the story, to be accepting of everyone, especially those who are different is one that resonates with many," says mom-to-be Christina Drogan.

Daly brings Henry and his story to life through heartwarming illustrations and easy rhyme. As an art teacher, she inspires her students to express their creativity and appreciate the beauty of art in all its forms. She believes Henry can show children how to practice that attitude with people who are different from themselves. Fellow teacher Laura J. Goodrow agrees, adding that the underlying message of celebrating our own uniqueness and appreciating that of others is one that resonates through time.
